Meet Brittany

Brittany Lee-Anderson

I have a personal relationship to chronic pain and I believe I can help you with yours. I have had to restart my movement practices multiple times, sometimes from being bedridden. Within those quiet moments where I couldn’t move and all I could do was ponder about my life looking at the ceiling, I discovered my passion for movement. Exercise has given me back my ability to feel good, has given me my confidence, and has allowed me to live a healthy life despite having chronic pain.

I have had a lifetime of chronic migraines that started when I was in a serious car crash at 6 years old. I have spent over fifteen years mastering the art of migraines and have managed to go from one to two migraines a week, to having just a few in one year. I have also been diagnosed with Kikuchi’s Disease, Systemic Lupus, and Reynaud’s. I have been able to learn how to manage my flare ups and live a very healthy life. On top of that I have had Lyme’s Disease, disc herniations and several sports injuries. All of these experiences have given me the drive to become passionate about the subject of chronic pain. Researching pain science and then integrating my research into my everyday life has allowed me to connect more with my clients as well as feel increasingly better for longer periods of time.

I received my Licensed Massage and Holistic Health Practitioner Certification at Heartwood Institute in 2005. I am also certified as an Orthopedic Fitness Specialist, Functional Fitness Specialist, Personal Trainer, and Health Coach, which has expanded my knowledge about exercise and functional movement. I also have a strong personal practice in Crossfit, strength training, calisthenics, yoga, and martial arts, which has contributed to my application of integrative behavioral awareness practices with clients.

My work includes Orthopedic Fitness assessment and movement protocols, Orthopedic Massage, Deep Tissue, Therapeutic, Myofascial, Trigger Point, and Relaxation. I work well with those who experience autoimmune disorders, chronic pain disorders, post orthopedic operations, migraines, sciatic pain, arthritis, and sports injuries.
